A letter from the team.
Since day one, our mission has been to give back to the communities we work with. When we set out to build Kotn, we worked closely with smallholder cotton farmers across rural Egypt and very quickly learned that quality and accessible education for their children was their greatest need. That's why we started the ABC's Project.
Through the ABC's Project, we donate a portion of proceeds from each Kotn order to fund and build primary schools in the Nile Delta and Faiyum regions, where the cotton for our collection is grown, investing in these communities both short and long‑term. In addition, for the 7th year in a row, we've donated 100% of proceeds over Black Friday weekend to the same cause. With the support of the local NGO Misr El Kheir Foundation, our goal is to provide every child in our farming communities with a safe, accessible, and quality education.
We work with over 3,000 smallholder farmers and have set out to build 53 schools, which would provide an education in all of our farming communities. To date, we've funded 18 schools. And we couldn't have done it without you.
This year, with your support over Black Friday weekend, and all year‑round, we're building 3 more schools, bringing out total count to 21 schools.
